WHAT PERSONAL DATA IS COLLECTED?
In order to provide the necessary services, the following personal data may be collected:
CLIENT CONTACT DETAILS
In order to carry out the tasks you assign me, I will need your precise contact details. These include your name-surname, phone number, email address, postal address, etc. That data is provided by all clients when they contact me to assign me some work. That data is used exclusively for the purpose of making proper arrangements, enabling me to carry the task you have requested, providing information about the progress or completion of work and sending translations in electronic format by email or in hard copy by courier or ordinary mail. That data is stored in electronic format only and in particular in a local computer file, on a mobile phone or in my email address book. Only I have access to that data. Your contact details are never disclosed to third parties.
CLIENT AND ASSOCIATE TAX DETAILS
Your tax details are necessary for the purpose of invoicing the work done and issuing Pos to associates. These include your name-surname or corporate name, occupation or field of employment, Tax Reg. No., tax office details, registered offices or home address, etc. All clients provide such data when a task is assigned. Likewise all associates provide such data at the start of our collaboration. This data is used to issue the documentation required by law (invoices, receipts), to send quotes and to submit the tax returns required by law. Your tax details are sent to an accountant with whom I collaborate so that the latter can handle my tax affairs in the manner mandated by law.
PERSONAL DATA CONTAINED IN TEXTS SENT FOR TRANSLATION
In many cases the texts you have sent for translation contain your own personal data or that of third parties. Certificates are documents of this type. Some texts may also contain sensitive data such as the results of medical examinations or cases files for litigation. In order to provide the service you request (translation), I am obliged to store and process the personal data and sensitive data contained in the documents to be translated. Storage and processing is done locally on my computer which only I have access to. In some cases it may be necessary to send documents containing personal data to my associates, so that they can carry out the translation. This applies primarily to language combinations which I do not personally cover, so I need to use the know-how of another associate to carry out the work you assigned to me. All my associates have provided me with undertakings that in this case any personal data will only be used and processed to the extent necessary to complete the task assigned to them and that no personal data will be sent to third parties.
PERSONAL DATA OF POTENTIAL ASSOCIATES
This category of personal data relates to information contained in the CVs of potential associates. I am often emailed CVs directly by individuals interested in working with me.
